Dr Scorrer (Tim) has been a wonderful neonatal consultant during our 5 week inpatient journey at the Portsmouth NICU. We are from Jersey and the hospital does not have the NICU facility to manage very premature babies which our baby required having been born at 27.5 weeks gestation. Our experience has been particularly fragile leaving our 6 year old in Jersey with grandparents and my husband and son going back and forth from Jersey to Portsmouth during this time. As with many premature baby pathways, you discover that every hour or day can change significantly with many lows and highs, a rollercoaster of emotions which we certainly experienced. Tim was always calm, empathetic and provided valuable time to answer our many questions. He would often even go beyond his normal consultant role to check in on our boy and ourselves when he was not even our lead consultant that day. His thorough assessments and holistic approach to care filled us with confidence that our precious boy was always in good hands. Tim’s positive yet realistic perspective was so helpful when communicating and explaining many aspects of our challenging baby’s care. Thank you Dr Tim! Sue & Guy Marks (& Harlan)

Absolutely fantastic Doctor. We first met Doctor Scorrer the night before our little girl was born at 26 weeks. He showed us round the NICU and offered up as much information as our heads could take in. We felt very reassured by him on every round visit and meeting we had in the 10 weeks stay. The after care has been great and any issues we have raised has been dealt with swiftly and he explained everything as and when we asked or needed to be told. We always felt we could call at any point for help or advise. Even on discharge he said to call if we needed any information or any help with our daughters development. Highly recommend Doctor Scorrer and feel very blessed to of had him as part our journey.

At 24 weeks 4 days gestation, in labour... with many medical people coming and introducing themselves and what were the things to expect, one of them was Dr Tim . With a very pleasant, calm face came and informed me what will happen to the baby if she was born that day in simple understanding way. Feeling me with all the positives- said USG weight of baby was good and she a girl so more chances of positive outcomes. Baby Abrielle was born and Dr Tim made it a point to come and personally update us about the baby’s initial few minutes on NNUStaying at Portsmouth hospital for 3 long months , baby Had to undergo many ups and downs. But whenever it was a bad news Dr Tim’s words would be quoted like this “ ok so what we are worried about is baby might be having something called..... “ and which would end with “which is very common and nothing unusual” which would put us a bit at ease. Dr Tim has always been supportive, would spend time in explaining about baby’s condition... and towards the end would ask “ any questions “ my answer to which was no as when he would explain he would cover answers to all my questions. A doctor passionate about his profession who works from his heart, very supportive and honest. Focuses not only on the baby but family as well ,providing comprehensive care. We really felt involved on our babys care. A big thank you Dr. Tim Amy and Amrish
